Warranty Guidelines:
- The warranty for products mentioned during sales is primarily provided by the manufacturer. This means the warranty service for sold products is handled by the respective brand's main company.
- Warranty services differ across brands, and their terms and conditions are detailed on their official websites. RPL TECHNOLOGY acts as a facilitator to implement the warranty policies of the respective brand manufacturers.
Manufacturer-Defined Warranty Policies:
1. RPL TECHNOLOGY follows the warranty policies provided by international, local, and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS).
2. Warranty is a service agreement between the manufacturer/importer and the buyer, where the responsibility for repair or replacement lies with the manufacturer/importer.
3. RPL TECHNOLOGY assists customers in availing warranty services by acting as an intermediary between the buyer and the manufacturer/importer.
4. Most imported products’ warranties are processed quickly, and some products are replaced immediately upon complaint.
5. Warranty is only applicable to products where the manufacturer has announced a warranty period.
Product-Specific Warranty Information:
- Laptops usually have a 1-3 year warranty depending on the brand and model, but all laptop batteries and adapters have only a 1-year warranty.
- If a product under warranty has defects after purchase, repairs will be attempted. For certain products, replacement is provided immediately if deemed necessary.
- If the specific model of a product is unavailable, RPL TECHNOLOGY may replace it with a similar product from another brand available in stock.
- In cases where repair or replacement is impossible and the model is unavailable, the product may be replaced with a superior model after adjusting depreciation and price differences.
- Data loss or damage during product usage or RPL TECHNOLOGY’s service period will not be the company’s responsibility.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Damage caused by misuse, such as water damage, physical damage, burns, or deep scratches, will not be covered.
- Products with damaged or missing serial numbers/stickers are excluded from warranty.
- Components with fungus, rust, or deep scratches, such as motherboards, graphics cards, or RAM, are not eligible for warranty.
- BIOS password-related issues and Apple MacBook operating system removal are not covered under warranty.
- Accessories like printer cartridges, toner, drum, roller, and maintenance boxes are excluded from warranty coverage.
Warranty Claim Process:
- Customers must bring the product box during a warranty claim.
- Products under warranty must be submitted for service with an estimated turnaround time of 5-40 days or longer, depending on the availability of spare parts.
